This time it is a $500 treasure. So who is goinng to be the next George Eustin?

Clue 1:
On this mountain stands a French-Pole's creation. The creator was the father of two artists, as well as a mountain-top wonder. His creation, always open handed, lies in the hub of a long bygone empire. Around the figure of this creation, our riddle will revolve.
